OUR STORY

Breaking Silence & Breaking Cycles

Thriving Queens of Volusia was founded in 2020 by Marisol Torres. Marisol, a domestic abuse survivor, turned her pain into passion to serve others and break the silence surrounding domestic abuse.

Torres is a true survivor and warrior as she returned to school and completed her college degree in Business at the age of 45. She has used her passion to empower survivors. Torres launched a boutique to benefit cancer survivors and the Thriving Queens of Volusia organization. Her goal and the goal of her team is to break the silence surrounding abuse, empower cancer survivors, and demonstrate to survivors that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

The tools and resources provided by Thriving Queens of Volusia empowers survivors to become beautiful THRIVING queens. As the organization continues to grow Torres and her team are looking to open a domestic violence shelter at the end of 2021.
